The MathWizards, Inc. is pleased to announce version 1.1 of of MathXplorer/T, a pair of Tcl/Tk packages providing data analysis and data visualization capabilities. The MathXplorer/T packages extends the Tcl/Tk environment with two built-in commands: minterp and graph. minterp creates MathViews interpreters that can evaluate expressions in standard mathematical form. graph creates Tk widgets that display 2D and 3D figures.

The minterp command can create multiple MathViews interpreters within a Tcl interpreter. Each MathViews interpreter

• provides matrix, vector and scalar data types, both real and complex,
• supports user-defined functions and scripts
• provides a rich set of matrix factorization, signal analysis, and filtering algorithms,
• supports (in conjunction with the graph widgets) 2D and 3D graphics,
• populates its own disjoint variable space,
• allows for both interactive and non-interactive input
• provides a facility for converting matrices into Tcl lists
• provides a facility for evaluating MathViews scripts from Tcl
scripts and vice-versa.

A student version, limited to 16384 matrix elements, is available free of charge for students and for evaluation. The professional version, with unlimited matrix size, is also available free of charge to the faculty and staff of non-profit research institutions. Please refer to download page for more details.
