The First, Matlab-Compatible Computation Engine for the Java
platform
For Immediate Release The MathWizards Introduces
MathXplorer/J The First Matlab Compatible Computation Engine for Java
Platform
SAN DIEGO, CA -- September 15, 1997 -- DSP World Expo -- The MathWizards today announced a new software package called MathXplorer/J, the first matlab-compatible computational engine for Java. MathXplorer/J, integral part of MathWizards' MathSuite product, encapsulates the computational power of MathViews in an easy to use Java class. "It is the easiest way for MATLAB® users to join the Internet revolution" says Dr. Shalom Halevy, president and designer. MathXplorer is also available as an ActiveX control for use with Visual Basic, Delphi, Visual C++, Optima++, MS Excel and other visual design tools.
"MATLAB users will find MathXplorer/J very easy to use," said Shalom Halevy. "MathXplorer is compatible with the MATLAB syntax and will execute most MATLAB M-files," he continued. "MathXplorer/J, however, does not support any GUI commands and/or graphics. It is strictly an embeddable computational engine; the GUI interface is usually coded in Java." Sample Java applets for Digital Filter Design, spectral analysis and image display are included with the MathXplorer/J distribution.
Features and benefits of MathXplorer/J includes:
Sample screens, MathViews source and Java source.
MathViews is comprehensive, matlab compatible, easy-to-use, fully interactive Scientific and Engineering software for matrix and array algebra, complex numbers, signal processing, 2D and 3D graphics with clipboard support. MathViews extends MATLAB capabilities by incorporating the AutoAssign technology. AutoAssign allows linking of variables for automatic update. MathViews' algorithms include topics in linear algebra (LINPACK), digital signal processing (DSP), and extensive graphics capabilities, such as contour plots, polar plots and 3D plots with hidden lines removal.
Introductory price for MathSuite is $499.00. It includes MathViews, MathXplorer/ActiveX, MathXplorer/J and WaveXplorer. The software and documentation are distributed electronically. Delivery is usually within one business day after receipt of order.
One year support for the the MathSuite: MathViews, MathXplorer and WaveXplorer $199.00 (single user license). Download all upgrades and bug fixes for a year.
MathXplorer/J will be released on January 15, 1998 The MathViews software packages are also available for OEM licensing.
